The story of how she got into this career is a fascinating one; as her Irish compatriots might say when asked for directions to a place ‘I wouldn’t start from here!’ Why? Well, as a battered child she left school at 14, home at 15 and came to London looking for anything other than the life she had at just 16. She found it - but the lure of television was still 10 years, 1 marriage, 2 children & a divorce away.

Talk about going in at the deep end! Adrienne’s first day at the BBC saw her broadcast the international news to a worldwide audience of 160 million people via the newly created BBC World Service Television News (now News 24). Gulp!

She talks of it being a great learning experience in the same way the rest of us talk about learning to use chopsticks! It certainly provided her with great training for live events that matter and her experience gives confidence to any Event Organiser who wants to be sure that their important event is going to be in very safe hands.
