Piping Hot Burns
Or Call 0161 374 5398
It is a real fun-filled party affair designed around the courses of the meal.
We call it inter-course entertainment working with the caterers to provide pieces while courses are being served and cleared.
The piper performs at the door of the venue, guests are piped in.
We do a welcome including the Toast to the Haggis and between courses we mix music and mayhem with all the traditional songs and toasts (the Immortal Memory, Toast to the Lassies etc.
Musically the singer swaps from the traditional Burns songs to things like Shout and 500 Miles, all with a basic Scottish flavour of course.
Then the piper moves from Scotland the Brave to a Michael Jackson medley on the tin whistle.
It is a show that never fails to go down well.
It is an alternative to the more staid, traditional poetry-driven Burns Night and it lasts throughout and beyond the meal.
The evening finishes in style with things like the Hokey Cokey (on the pipes with dancers selected from the audience) before Auld Lang Syne brings the curtain down.
