Escapologists, also known as escape artists, are people who entertain audiences by performing feats of escaping from various restraints and challenges. They typically demonstrate their skills by escaping from handcuffs, straitjackets, cages, boxes, barrels and other traps. Escapologists often combine multiple escapes in a single act, creating a spectacle of skill and illusion.
