Charlene Jean – ‘Keep Smiling Through’
With the ever growing popularity of the 1940’s music Charlene Jean’s Tribute show ‘Keep Smiling Through’ is sure to make your event a memorable and special occasion. With Charlene’s magnificent stage presence and forthcoming attitude the audience are sure to have fun whilst singing along to those patriotic and beautiful songs of the World War 2 era.
Charlene set includes a balance of up tempo numbers as well as ballads ensuring there is something for everyone. Charlene not only performs her chosen song’s beautifully with sincerity and passion, she also include dance within her set creating a spectacle for her audience.
Charlene is a self contained artiste with her own high quality PA system which is fully PAT tested. She has full public liability insurance through the performer’s union ‘Equity’. She normally offers an hour slot or two 45minute sets, however this is adaptable to the client’s needs. Charlene has performed her Tribute Show at a variety of events and venues including the 90th anniversary of the Royal British Legion, UK Holiday Parks, Crusader Holidays open day, Birthday Parties, Care homes, Restaurants, pubs and many more.
Charlene is an enthusiastic, energetic and versatile performer. Her repertoire includes many genres of music; however her main cabaret set is a 1940’s Tribute act which includes all the World War 2 favourites. She performs ballads as well as up tempo numbers from well known artistes such as Vera Lynn, Fred Astaire, Judy Garland, Peggy Lee and many more. She is happy to adapt her act to suit the client’s needs and will learn new songs at request. She is a confident presenter who enjoys interacting with many types of crowds and is able to alter her act to suit the audience’s nature.
Charlene has trained in Ballet, tap, modern, jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance for the last 17 years.
She achieved a BA (Honours) degree in Dance and Drama at De Montfort University, (2:1).
