Phil as Freddie says: “So far 2024 has been fantastic with shows as far afield as India, Switzerland & Gozo (Malta) as well as increasing our reach across the whole of the UK with new shows in Scotland, Wales & N Ireland.

“The scale of our shows just seems to be getting bigger and bigger this year too – the fantastic audiences at Lingfield and Royal Windsor Racecourses were about 4,500 and all up for a party. The two Could Be Real Festivals were about 3,500 strong and were undeterred by dubious summer weather – still came out in force and sang their hearts out! The recent Leigh Leopards vs Warrington Wolves rugby match was a huge 9,500 in the Leigh Stadium and was a really crazy experience – we loved it!

And to prove that size isn’t everything: some of our favourite show were the Cheers Beer Fest in Gozo with 1,500 who made it feel like there were twice as many there… and the audience at Thunder In The Glens in Aviemore who just rocked hard all night!!! We’ve been so lucky this year to entertain and meet some of the nicest crowds yet!”

Supersonic Queen were selected from over 40 Queen tributes in the UK to perform for Sotheby’s, Bond Street and as a consequence were then able to get involved heavily in the auction of Freddie Mercury’s legacy. The auction generated worldwide publicity such was the interest in this great man’s legacy and the top selling item – the grand piano on which Freddie wrote Bohemian Rhapsody – sold for a whopping £1.7m!!! Total raised was over £40.1 million and even the tiny silver moustache comb reached a crazy £153,000!
